We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and educate young Canadians about work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. We do this by offering in-school programs that are taught by volunteers within the community bringing the real world to the classroom.
Junior Achievement is the country’s leading organization to offer free programming to student’s grades 5-12 on financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. All of our programs are connected directly to the curriculum and are taught by trained and screened volunteers from the business community. This year we are focusing on expanding our reach and hope to provide our programs to more students across the province.
We are looking for individuals who would be able to help us reach more member of the community and who would hopefully like to get involved. We have a number of options when it comes to volunteering but the typical role is a program facilitator who helps deliver our programs in the classroom. JA will help you choose a program and age group, based on your skills and interests. We provide an orientation, program materials and support to make your volunteer experience fun, meaningful and easy to deliver.
